Scene of Ayurveda in Germany

In India Ayurveda is a professional degree of integrated systems of medicine constituting five and half years of university studies and 3 years of specialization in various fields. Unfortunately, due to recognition criteria, Ayurveda has not been acknowledged as Medical degree in Germany, therefore professional Ayurvedic doctors can only advise towards lifestyle management and preventive aspects of Ayurveda to improve the health within the legal limitations of recognition. However, as a preventive holistic science it is gaining its popularity and acceptance in Germany making it possible for the Ayurvedic professionals to offer consultations in limited fields of Ayurveda. With this regard, Ayurveda services are not covered under Insurance and are to be privately paid.
